Our player statistics are recorded mainly for a bit of fun and competition within the team, but they are also useful in analysing where we can improve, and detecting our strengths and weaknesses.
* The receiver closest to a thrown ball is considered the ‘target’. Similarly, the defender who deflects a pass or is closest to a dropped pass is credited with a pass defence. An interception returned for a touchdown is recorded as both an interception and a pick 6. An interception returned for 2 points on an extra point attempt is recorded as both an interception and an XP returned. Sacks and tackles are independent of one another. Tackles and tackles for losses (TFL) are not independent of one another.
